The Enchanted Planet Hi everyone!
I'm so grateful that you've joined us today for our Enchanted Planet.
It's a place where everything is possible.
I'm your friend, Sarahndipity and we're going to hav some exciting adventures today.
We're going to talk about rainbows, energy, eagles and elephants.
We're going to have a fun Dance Party, speak to some new friends and we're going to really learn about how we can appreciate our own selves in whatever size or shape we come in.
You know, we're all different, and that's okay.
In fact, it's really wonderful because we're all unique.
We're all unique pieces to this grand puzzle of life.
In fact, were like different colors of the rainbow.
And when we come together, we make a beautiful picture.
And I'm so grateful that you are you.
Are you ready for a fun adventure today?
Yeah?
Come on!
I'm so excited to see all of you today.
Miss Chessie's come back to teach us some Spanish phrases today.
How does that sound?
Exciting.
Yeah.
Hi, Miss Chessie, good to see you.
Hi, good to see you, too.
I feel very excited when we get together.
I feel the same way.
Yeah.
I've been wanting to learn more Spanish phrases from you because I think it's important to learn more languages.
I would like to learn many different languages.
I think if you learn many different languages, you could have more friends around the world.
That's exciting Yeah, that does sound exciting.
Okay, so speaking of exciting, how do you say excited in español?
"¿Cómo se dice ‘excited en español?
Emocionado o emocionada.
Emocionado o emocionada.
That sounds pretty easy.
Do you want to try it together?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Will we say emocionada then together?
Yes, since all four of us identify as females.
We'd say emocionada.
Let's try it then.
One.
Two.
Three.
Emocionada.
Nice.
I like that.
That makes me happy.
So, hmmm.
Then what about the opposite feeling?
Because I've been thinking a lot about opposites lately.
What would be an opposite feeling to excited?
Would it be boredom or bored?
Yeah, okay.
So, ¿Cómo se dice ‘bored en español?
Aburrido o aburrida.
Aburrida for us.
I like that.
Do you want to try that together?
Okay, let's do it.
One.
Two.
Three.
Aburrida.
Let's try it one more time.
That one's hard, I think.
Let's do it again.
One.
Two.
Three.
Aburrida.
Good job!
That makes me feel excited.
You know, sometimes I feel excited and bored at the same time.
Does that ever happen to you, where you have two feelings at once?
Yeah.
Oh, yes.
Sometimes I feel different things at the same time.
I really do too.
I think that's okay.
We are going to learn about some of these opposite feelings or feeling two ways at once.
In our story time for today.
Are you ready for Story Time?
Yeah!
All right, let's do it.
Today's Story Time is a great book.
It's called ‘Clouds Doing Cloud Things.
It's written by Aidan Levy and illustrated by Erin Hilleary.
Let's go do some cloud adventures.
One day, Momma Cloud and Baby Cloud were peacefully floating through the sky.
Baby Cloud said, “I want to go on an adventure.” Momma Cloud said “I don't know” “Adventures are scary and dangerous.” Baby Cloud thought to themself, “she didn't say no perhaps just a little adventure.
Just the a gentle breeze started to blow.
Baby Cloud hopped on the wind and passed by many wondrous things.
Baby Cloud rode the wind up into a tall mountain range.
Before they knew it, Baby Cloud was pushed even harder and higher into the towering mountain peaks.
Baby Cloud became very scared.
Baby Cloud missed the open skies.
Missed Momma Cloud, Papa Cloud, and all of the other clouds.
Baby Cloud yelled out in fear.
To Baby Cloud's surprise, the mountains echoed back.
Despite the darkness of the night, the peaks lit up like the sun was shining on them.
But no matter how Baby Cloud howled and wailed, Baby Cloud remained alone.
It was then that they began to cry.
It was gentle at first, but then harder and stronger than ever.
Baby Cloud forgot all about the mountains for they seemed to fade away.
As the fog began to cover them.
Cloud transformed into a soft, fluffy mist.
Cloud floated in closer to get a better look.
The sounds of running water surrounded and enveloped Cloud Down below River began to play and splash, bringing Cloud along on its winding path.
Cloud panicked, Cloud said, “What's happening?” “Where are we?
Where are we going?” River replied, “I don't know.” “I always just go with the flow.” Well, this didn't fully make sense to Cloud.
It did seem to calm them and thus they meandered along Cloud and River, pass people with swords.
One yelled, “This is my river!” And the other one yelled back, “No, this isn't my river!” Cloud and River shared a laugh together.
“How silly!” Cloud and River chuckled.
Clearly they are both mistaken.
Cloud and River passed by many forms of love as River an Cloud flowed out of the forest.
A group of angry people yelled, “Thats not how you love!” River and Cloud thought together, “How peculiar.” They flowed past two groups of people wearing hats.
One group yelled, “Our hats are the truest and best hats!” The other group yelled back, “No “Our hats are the truest and best hats.” Cloud and River thought together, “What lovely hats.” Cloud and River came to a lak with a great city on its shores.
Bits and pieces of Cloud and River went every which way.
So many paths and choices.
So many thoughts and feelings.
So many things to learn and see.
Cloud and River flowed together into the cool vastness of the ocean.
As the Sun's rays slowly warmed, the sea, Cloud and River reminisced about their grand adventure.
Then, feeling it was time, they said their goodbyes.
Cloud felt a shift, a change.
And the Clouds drifted along in the breeze.
Red like a fire truck.
Orange like a sunset.
Yellow like a lemonade.
Green like a leaf.
And blue like the sea.
And purple like a juicy grape.
Red like a fire truck.
Orange like a sunset.
Yellow like lemonade.
Green like a leaf.
And blue like the sea.
And purple like a juicy grape.
Rainbow, Rainbow way up high.
You are smiling in the sky.
Rainbow, rainbow.
Now I see all your colors.
Staring back at me.
For today's Tinker Time I've invited some good friends of mine.
Mister David and Miss Arlyn, to teach us about the energy of sound through music.
Did you know that when you strum a guitar or play an instrumen very fast, tiny movements happen that turn into waves that your ears can hear?
Pretty cool, huh?
If you'd like to join us for Tinker Time, all you need is your body.
You can stand up and learn these new rhythms with Mister David and Miss Arlyn.
Come on!
We love musical energy, too!
Yeah.
I mean, when it comes down to it, all of us humans are vibrational sound artists.
As any time that we move or speak, we affect the air around us.
Today, we're goin to use our bodies to make music.
Let's start with our voices.
So to make some fun grooves with our voices, we'll need a low sound and a high sound.
Let's use the word ‘boots for the low sound, and we use the word ‘cats for the high sound.
Let's do it together.
Back and forth, starting on boots.
Ready?
Go!
Boots.
Cats.
Boots.
Cats.
Boots.
Let's try this one more time, but this time we'll stomp and we'll clap instead of saying boots and cats.
We'll start with the stomp.
Ready?
Go!
Lets try it with two short stomps instead of just one.
Ready?
Go!
Now let's play a quick game of call and response together.
It's a great way to have a musical conversation with a friend.
I'll go first and then we'll go together as the response.
Repeating the same rhythms back.
Alright.
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Yay!
That was fun!
Well, that was really interesting.
I learned something new.
I've never tried saying Boots and Cats for music before.
Boots and cats.
Boots and cats.
What a cool thing to learn right before our Dance Party.
Let's have Dance Party Time!
Come on.
It's Dance Party Time!
Dance Party Time!
You know it, Sarahndipity.
Dance Party is my favorite time of the day.
And today, friends, we have some special friends here with us who are going to help lead our song.
Everyone take the time to say hello to our friend, Anna!
Hello, Anna!
Everyone, let's also say hello to our very wonderful furry friend, Phanta.
Hello, Phanta!
We are so excited to do this dance today.
Are you happy to be here Miss Anna?
I am so excited to be here and absolutely thrilled to share wonderful song with you guys!
Its so fun!
This song is called ‘The Electro Trance Elephant Dance.
Yes!
Now this dance has a lo of dance moves, but guess what?
You can pick your favorite and then do the dance with us.
It's so true.
And what we're teaching in thi dance is about different sizes.
So we're talking about being big and in the middle and small.
So let's practice being really big.
And then let's go in the middl small small small small small.
And then we stay soft.
And then we get bright and then we go in between.
Yeah.
You want to try it one more time.
Okay.
So we get big and we get small and we stay soft and we get bright.
And then we go in between everyone is doing a great job.
That's right.
Now this song is all abou expressing yourself, being big, being bright and celebrating exactly who you are.
That's true.
And there is no right or wrong way to dance.
We just want to do our best and try it, right?
Absolutely.
So should we give this a try?
Absolutely.
So we're going to have Miss Anna come right up front and we're going to do th ‘Electro-Trance Elephant Dance Ready?

And no it's time to practice it again.
Does that sound good, Anna?
Oh, yeah.
That sound good Phanta?

See you next time!
See you next time, friends.
Do you ever feel like there is nothing to do?
Or are you ever uninterested in what's in front of you?
Yeah.
My friend Ennui knows how you feel He's often very bored.
He thinks there's nothing fun to do.
I have a friend that I'll introduce you to, though, named Electric, and she always finds fun things to do and is very excited about what's in front of her.
I'm curious what Grand Sappy thinks about these two opposite feelings.
Let's go see.
Knock knock.
Hey, Grand Sappy.
Oh, Sarahndipity.
It's always nice to see you.
Oh, it's nice to see you, too.
I was just telling my friend about the opposite feelings of boredom and excitement.
And I wonder what you think about them.
Well, excitement feels like tingling energy when I anticipate my leaves starting to bud in the spring.
Boredom feels a lot like waiting through a long winter, not knowin when things will start happening in the forest again.
Lots of my friends hibernate.
Yeah, a lot of my friends stay in more in the winte than they do in the spring too.
That makes sense.
What do you do when you're feeling bored?
I often take a deep breath, then exhale with a funny sound.
I like to remember that life's my playground.
I figure out way to collect energy so I can grow.
I think taking a deep breath is a great idea, and it's a really good idea to remember that life is a playground.
That makes sense to me.
Thanks, Sappy.
That is Root-Toot- Scootin, Sarahndipity.
Oh, Sappy always falls asleep.
Let's come over and talk to my friend.
Oh, hey, Ennui, you look upset.
Can I help?
Meh... I'm not upset, just super bored.
There's never anything fun to do.
That doesnt feel good when you think there's never anything fun to do.
Life is super boring every day is just the same.
Gosh, that doesn't feel good.
Although I've been on a lot of fun adventures with my friend today, I'm wondering, do you want to maybe try something new?
Meh... Do you want to make a new friend?
Meh... Oh, I think you'd really love my friend Electric- Oh, there she is!
Electric, come here and meet my friend, Ennui!
Hi, Ennui!
Whew, haha.
It's nice to meet you.
I've been flying around and feeling the excitement in the air.
Woo, woo!
What's so exciting up there?
What's so exciting?
Oh, I saw some baby birds learning to fly.
It was so fun and cute to see.
Oh, I love baby birds.
They're so sweet.
Yeah, I guess so.
What do you like to do when you're feeling bored?
Meh, nothing.
Well, I guess I do like playing in the water.
Oh, I bet you're really good at playing in the water.
I can imagine it'd be fun to splash your trunk around.
That is fun.
I can use my trunk to spray water very far.
I bet if you try, you could spray water up high.
High enough to reach the sky, I sure can.
I bet I can spray you with water while you're flying around.
Oh, that sounds like a really fun game.
The two of you could play together.
You want to try?
I'm very fast.
You might not be able to get me.
I think I can!
Let's see!
Hee hee hee.
Good job making friends and finding ways to play.
Life is for living and absorbing a sunray or two.
Heh, heh, heh, heh!
Grand Sappy.
He always needs a nap.
Well that's fun.
Good job finding a way to be friends.
Even though you have different ways of being in the world.
I appreciate you and I look forward to seeing you both again soon.
Bye bye.
Let's play!
...Im gonna get you!
Okay, Mel is going to show us a new dance that she created.
Ready?
Oh, this is wonderful.
Go ahead.
Whoa!
Look at that.
You're fantastic!
Oh, Mel, that was wonderful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
She needed to share that with the world.
Hello, everyone.
It's animal fun fact time.
It's time to meet the big elephant.
It's the largest animal on the planet.
An average mal can be measured up to 13ft high.
That's, like, twic as tall as an average grown man.
And it can weigh, like 14,000 pounds.
Elephants are known for their like, big ears and their tusks, made of ivory and their tusks.
You can tell a lot by an elephant by looking at their tusks.
Elephant tusks can never stop growing.
Did you know that?
So theyre so enormous that tusks can be a sign of an old elephant like, instead of, like, long in the tooth.
It's like long in the tusk!
How old do you think this guy is?
Elephants can live up to 70 years old.
Crazy, right?
Okay, so speaking of trunks, did you know that they function as like hands for elephants?
Elephants can use their trunks to grab food, dig through soil and tree trunks, and even play.
They also use their long trunks to smell, breathe, shoot water into their mouths.
Do you want to know something else really cool they can do with their trunks?
Elephants can paint pictures.
No, I'm serious I've seen it on YouTube.
Right?
And you know what else I can do?
They use their trunks to scoop up mud and throw it on themselves like sand.
And it, like, protects himself from the hot burning sun.
Totally resourceful.
I love it.
Thank you for joining me today on our Enchanted Planet.
How exciting!
I'm so grateful that we get to spend this time together.
It means so much to me.
I really loved learning about energy and rainbows, and I loved that boo about clouds and the adventures that that cloud went on.
I wonder what adventures you'll go on next.
I hope to see you again next time.
And remember, I always love to express the attitude of gratitude.
It's my key to a positive mood.
See you next time, friend.
