The Enchanted Planet is everything imaginable.
The Enchanted Planet Hi, friend.
Welcome to our Enchanted Planet.
It's a place where everything is possible.
I'm your friend, Sarahndipity.
And I'm so grateful that you've joined us today.
We're going to have some great adventures today.
We're going to learn some Spanish from our friend, Miss Chessie.
We're going to do a disco dragon Dance Party with Kendra.
We're also going to meet our forest friends, where Grand Sappy is going to teach us how to get our needs met.
You know, its really important to ask for help when we need it.
And he's going to help give us some tools to do just that.
We're also going to learn about dreams, dolphins and dragons.
Are you ready for a great adventure?
Yeah?
All right, let's go!
Hi my friend, Chessie!
It's good to see you today.
It's good to see you, too, Miss Sarahndipity.
I was hoping I got to see you today.
And it's good to see both of you today, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We are going to learn some Spanish phrases today from Miss Chessie.
She's been helping m learn how to speak some Spanish, because I have a lot of friends who speak Spanish.
And I think it's really fun to learn to speak to them in their native language.
And learning more than on language is good for our brains.
I think it really is.
And I've been really wanting to speak with my friends about my big feelings, and so I thought it'd be fun to try speaking about our feelings today.
Does that sound okay to you?
Yeah, yeah.
Great.
So recently I discovered that I was feeling a little disappointed about somethin that I didn't get that I wanted.
Has that ever happened to you?
Oh, yes.
Many times.
Yeah.
So I'm curious, how do you say ‘disappointed in español?
In Spanish, it's decepcionado o decepcionada.
decepcionado o decepcionada.
That's kind of hard.
Do you think we could practice it?
Yeah.
Let's see.
Should we say it in the feminine form then?
Because we identify as female here?
Yeah.
Does that sound right?
Okay.
Wonderful.
So, should we try it?
On the count of three?
Okay.
One.
Two.
Three.
Decepcionada.
Oh, I like that.
Let's try one more time.
One.
Two.
Three.
Decepcionada.
Disappointed.
Yeah.
You know, I realized after I felt disappointed that I actually got something better than what I thought I wanted originally.
And that made me feel really content.
How do you say ‘content in español?
Contento o contenta.
Well, that sounds so much like content.
They're almost the same.
Do you want to try saying contenta together?
Yeah!
Okay.
Let's try it on three.
One, two.
Three.
Contenta.
Me siento contenta.
I feel content.
Let's try to say it with the peaceful feeling in our voice.
Let's do it.
Okay.
Ready?
One.
Two.
Three.
Contenta.
Great job, everyone.
Speaking of content and happy, I have a really fun book that I want to share with us today for Story Time.
And it's about some opposite feelings I think we're really going to enjoy.
Let's do Story Time!
Yeah!
For Story Time today, our book is called ‘Just Two Birds written by Taylor Martin and illustrated by Franki Zinke.
Love what you do.
You only get one chance to be you.
Create something new.
Because what else would you do?
Make a friend.
Give a hug.
Let your heart shine.
You are so divine!
Be the friend you want to have.
Hold a hand.
Take a stand.
Some are red.
Some are blue.
Some are purple and some are you.
Take a look at yourself and you will see that I am you and you are me.
Just two birds and our feathers.
Laughing at the world in stormy weather.
What are dreams?
What do you dream about?
Dreams come true!
If you can dream it, you can be it.
What are your big dreams?
What do you dream about?
Do you dream of helping other people?
Do you dream of fun, adventures or inventions?
I like to dream big and keep looking up.
I always think the brighter side of life shows up when I do that.
Let's see what others dream about.
And I'd love to hear what you dream about, too.
Butterfly and a cocoon Open up your wings.
Fly to the farthest end of the moon.
No- fly to the farthest mountain.
Fly to the end of the moon.
Fly to the middle of the planet.
Fly and make a cocoon.
Open up your wings and fly away.
Fly away she goes.
Flew all around as her wings filled out.
And she made a whole cocoon.
Sleep now, nice and sweetly.
Some of us aren't abl to communicate using our voices.
Some of us can only communicate using our bodies or help with machines.
Our friend Phanta has shown us how she can communicate using her body.
How do you communicate?
Phanta shares her feelings.
Disappointed.
Content.
Jealousy.
Understanding.
Bored.
Excited.
Optimism.
Pessimism.
Share your feelings.
Your feelings are valid.
Are you ready for a Dance Party?
I've got some fun friends for you to meet.
Come on!
It's Dance Party time!
Yeah!
Dance Party time!
I love a good dance party.
Friends, Dance Party tim is my favorite time of the day.
And today, here we have special friends here with us today who are going to be leading us in song.
Everyone say hello to our friend, Kendra.
Hi, Kendra!
And we also have our special furry friend here with us.
Phanta!
Say hi, Phanta!
Hi, Phanta!
And I want to say a big shout out to all of the kids we have here today.
Say hi to everybody.
Hi, friends!
We're so grateful you're all here to Dance Party with us, and today we're going to do a very special dance.
And this is called, ‘Disco Dragon.
Our friend Kendra sings this song.
and it is one of my favorites.
Do you like singing this song?
I love singing this song.
It is so much fun.
It's so much fun.
Thank you for doing this for us.
And she's going to teach us the dance as well.
That's right.
Now, this dance has a lot of dance moves.
But guess what?
You can pick your favorite one and you can just dance with us right at home.
It's so true.
And just do your best.
Some of these moves are kind of hard.
So if you can't do them, that's okay.
Just do your best.
Have a good time.
But I'll teach you a few o the moves that we're going to do before we start.
How does that sound?
Yeah.
Were gonna do disco!
So we're going to start with our hand up in the air.
And then we're going to move it down and move it up and move it down.
And then we're going to roll our arms and just get a little funky with it.
Yeah.
And then we're going to do a robot.
Love a good robot move.
Oh good robot, nice robot!
And then we do a swoon.
That's a robot swoon.
And then we do YMCA shapes.
So we do a Y and an M and a C, and an A Then, we do funky chicken dance, funky chicken dance, funky chicken dance.
That's it!
Can we all do that?
Absolutely.
And we just do our best.
All right, Miss Kendra are you ready to show everybody the Disco Dragon?
I am so ready.
All right, let's do it.
Raise your fist high, up to the sky now.

I hope you had fun out there.
We always like to do our dances twice.
That's right.
We feel like we just kind of learned it.
And now we need to practice and really do it full out.
What do you think?
Yeah, yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
You're good with that?
You're really good at that?
Yeah, you are!
You're really good at that.
Are you really good at it?

Great job, great job.
Thanks for dancing with us.
See you next time!
Bye-Bye!
I love coming to hang out with my friend, Grand Sappy.
He's a wise old tree and always seems to liv a very calm and contented life.
Sometimes he even shares advice with me and my friends.
Let's see if he's up for a visit today.
Knock, knock.
Hi, Grand Sappy, are you up for a visit?
Ab-sap-solutely, Sarahndipity!
I love our visits.
Hey there, friends.
I wonder how you always live such a happy and content life.
I have found a few tricks to help me feel peaceful.
And I have lived a long and fulfilling life.
Well, can you share some of your tricks with us?
I'm happy to help the young saplings grow their roots strong.
Hey friends, it's good to see you today.
I've been talking with my friend Grand Sappy about how he stays so calm and peaceful.
He says he can share some advice with us.
Oh, I could use some help.
People don't always do what I want them to and it makes me sad.
I understand, my friend.
That's not a very easy feeling to feel.
Grand Sappy, what do you do when you're feeling sad or disappointed?
I reach out my branches and connect with others when I feel miffed.
Sometimes we need to tell others how we are feeling.
I don't know how.
Yeah, that's not a very easy thing to share our feelings with others sometimes.
I like to start by saying, “I feel” then, I try my best to be honest about how I'm feeling.
For example, today I feel pleased to be with you all.
I feel pleased to be with you all, too.
And it isn't very easy to speak about how we're feeling.
Sometimes we have to find people that we trust to communicate with.
I like to sometimes even talk to my pets or trees like my friend Grand Sappy.
Do you think you could practice naming how you're feeling?
You can start by saying, “I feel”.
I feel sad.
Why do you feel so sad?
I feel sad because I want my parents to pay more attention to me.
That makes sense.
Parents can often be very busy and it's not always easy for them to have time to hang out with you.
What do you think we could do?
How do you think you could ask them to pay more attention to you?
Do you think you could as and say, I feel like I could use more time and attention?
I feel that way sometimes, too.
Sometimes, my parent are too busy to hang out with me when I want them.
In my family, we make a plan to get together every night for dinner and spend quality time together until bedtime.
It's a good solution.
We found to be a content family together.
I wonder if you can suggest that to your family, too.
My family does hangout together.
But it's not when I want to.
Hmm, I understand.
Do you think that you could ask them when they have more tim that they can hang out with you?
That is what I do.
I say, if you can't be with me now, can we have a special time together soon?
Sometimes we are busy as parents and this is a great way for me to see when my little guy needs more one on one time.
Does that feel like a solution you could try?
I think so.
Do you want to practice with us?
Okay.
Can I hang out with you right now?
Good job.
What a great way to ask that question.
But let's say I' too busy to hang out right now.
What do you think I could say?
Oh, you could say, I need t finish up what I'm doing first.
Then, we can gather in ten minutes and I can give you my full attention.
How does that feel?
That feels good!
I feel happy!
Yay!
Oh.
Good job.
I feel happy, too.
Communication is key.
Thank you so much, friends.
I really needed this.
You did a great job reaching out and connecting with this young sapling.
We may just feel like one leaf alone in the breeze, but together we make a beautiful canopy of foliage.
Heh, ha, ha... He often falls asleep.
He's a tired old tree.
Thanks for visiting with me today, friends.
See you soon.
Bye bye.
Thank you!
Hey, I've invited my friend Spencer here today.
We were talking the other day about Bell's Palsy.
Bell's Palsy is a type of facial paralysis.
It occurs when your parotid gland, which is right about here, gets inflamed and pushes up against your facial nerves.
And I'm really grateful that you were willing to come in and talk with us today about Bell's palsy, because I think there ar probably other friends out there who have situations that occur, whether it's physical or mental, that mayb they think they might be alone.
And I know you were talking about how you would maybe want to speak to them about how they're not alone.
And there are other people out there that have stuff that happens.
if you have any sickness or anything.
Just know you're not alone and that there's always going to be someone on the other side of the world in your own town, city, that has the same sickness.
Thank you for sharing that.
So often we can really feel alone when things happen to us in our world.
It doesn't really matter so much what we look like on the outside.
It's really who we are on the inside and how we treat other people.
And you're incredibly nice to people.
I could see that from the firs moment that we met.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I think it's important for us to share with our friends, because some friends out there probably have some situations happening that may be something that they're going through for the rest of their lives, and that doesn't make them any less of a person.
And something else that I thought it was important to talk about is that your Bell's Palsy is not contagious.
So it's not like people need to stay away from you or treat you any differently, right?
That is correct.
If you ever feel like you have something like this and you feel alone, just talk to someone about it.
Itll help a lot.
I think that some of the best advice we could possibly give right there, buddy, you have people in your life that you have that you can trust and talk with?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm so grateful.
And now, we have each other.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you so much, Spencer.
I really appreciate you being so open and honest and straightforward with us.
You're welcome.
Thanks for having me.
High five, buddy!
Hi, everyone.
It's Animal Fun Fact time.
Meet the magnificent dolphin.
These animals live in the water.
And guess what?
They're not fish.
They're mammals like we are.
Just like us, isnt that crazy?
Dolphins breathe air, and they're warm blooded.
And they even have hair at some point in their life.
So if a dolphin breathes air, how does it live in the water?
Dolphins have a blowhole on the top of their head.
And when they come up to the surface of the water for air, they open the blowhole to inhale.
Feel like I'm a yoga.
The dolphins then go back down in the water and they can hold their breath up to, like, seven minutes.
How long do you think you can hold your breath?
Their blowholes aren't just for breathing.
Dolphins also use them to communicate.
And for like echolocation which helps them find their way through the dark seas, they make high frequency clicks with their blowholes, which bounce off objects in the water, and the sounds bounce back to dolphins as it echoes.
This sonar system tells dolphins the location, size, shape, speed, and distance of the object.
Can you believe that dolphins make up 1,000 clicking noises per second?
That's crazy.
Wow!
Thank you for joining us today on our Enchanted Planet.
Remember, it's a place where everything is possible.
I'm so grateful that we had so many fun adventures with each other today.
Remember that book that we rea about the two different birds?
Even though they look different, they learned how to become best friends.
And that feels really important to me because I look different than a lot of my friends.
But we can always find ways to have commonality.
Yeah, I also really enjoyed speaking with Grand Sappy and my other forest friends.
They taught me a lot about asking for my needs to be met.
Sometimes I need help and it's okay to ask others for help.
Yeah, I look forward to seeing you again next time.
And before we go, I always like speaking the attitude of gratitude.
It's my key to my positive mood.
Thank you, friends.
I look forward to seeing you again soon.
See you next time.
