The dirt itself.
I love the drifting.
I love being able to throw myself sideways.
I live for the thrill, I do.
I live for that jittery feeling.
It's, some people do drugs, I do racing.
I'm Tempa Feagin, and this is the Colorado Hill Climb Association, and we're racing up at Grand Junction, Lands End.
The hill climb, it's basically just coming out and racing on the dirt.
This is about like getting the speed being able to handle the corners, remembering the corners.
Just going out, racing and pushing yourself.
I would say majority of us are out here just to beat our own time, you know, to try and make it to the top every single time.
Since I was itty bitty, it was kind of my dream to get out and go fast.
Which terrified my parents.
They were always terrified, but were like, whatever, go do your own thing.
My brother, this is his first year racing and my dad and I kind of started doing it together.
To be able to do it as a family and share that experience, it's awesome.
Today I'm the only female racer, and thats the thing, I'm like, I want so many more female racers.
I'm here to race exactly like the guys are.
If I break down, I break down.
If I get last, I get last.
But if I win, you better not get mad.
So my ultimate goal ever since I was little, was to race in general.
I met that goal.
You know, this is a huge goal in life.
My next biggest goal that I've always wanted since I was little, is to race Pikes Peak.
You know, and Pikes Peak is a lot harder to get into you actually have to have them come to you and be like, hey, we want you to race with us.
I've grown up in Teller County my whole life, so hopefully I can finally, instead of staring at that mountain and driving up it slowly, I can actually go up it fast.
I don't plan to get first place or whatever.
But my goal in my life is to make it to the top of that mountain and finally be like, I raced it and I made it to the top.
