It's the honey.
It's the orange.
The cinnamon sticks.
It's the smell of the syrup.
Baklava is the best.
Greek pastries there is.
It is one of the traditional pastries that we make for to the Greek festival e every year.
We started at 9:00 and were probably gonna be here until 6 p.m.
And I think we're going to be making 150, maybe 175 pans of baklava.
They take the phyllo.
They butter the phyllo.
There's a lot of butter involved in this.
And you butter each sheet as you go eight layers of phyllo butter ph and then about three cups of nuts in between.
Then we cut it, put it in the oven.
In about 45, 50 minutes until it's golden brown.
the cool syrup goes on.
Top of that.
We've done it for a. Long time and its always worked So thank goodness.
Some things you don't change.
We'll use walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, clove and orange zest.
I mean, when you're in the kitchen for 12 14 hours, when you're making Greek salads, I mean, everyone's going to smell like, you know, olive oil, lemon and g but I don't think our community.

In our homes, we have philoxenia When someone comes to your home, you open your doors and treat.
them My, my mom's generation taught us and then we taught the next generation.
And that's the way it is going and hopefully it keeps going.
I don't know, you know, but I'm hoping that in, in of the future that this will maintain.
