The Commons: Permanent housing for homeless families

Colorado Springs just opened a new permanent supportive housing complex to serve homeless veterans, other individuals, and families. Called The Commons, it is the first apartment building of its kind to serve families in Colorado. For mothers who have been unhoused, The Commons provides stability and shelter, even though some applicants face an uphill battle fighting to be approved to move in.
